Undergraduate Admissions

On Campus Transfers

In order to be considered for admission into the department, you must be in good standing with the university, as defined in Student Rules and Regulations.  That includes a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.  Applications are avaliable on the web page.

Readmission

Readmission to the university is determined on a case by case basis.  All appeals are brought to the Undergraduate Affairs Committee for the department.  Much weight is placed on the essay portion of the application.  Any questions regarding individual appeals can be directed to the departmental Academic Advisor.

Freshman Admission

In order to gain admissions to Texas A&M, the undergraduate applicant must have graduated from an accredited secondary school with a minimum of sixteen credits in specific high school subjects, which are required by the University.  The University Catalogue provides specific details regarding admission requirements.

Transfer Admission

Admission from other institutions is granted on a competitive basis.  You must meet the minimum general requirements set by the University to be considered for departmental admission.  The University requirement can be found on the admission web site.
