Application Interests:
- Ecotourism as a tool for conservation and
economic development. I am very interested in the requirements for
financially successful operations on private land at all scales. I am
also very interested in the use of ecotourism as an element of
community development and how public-private partnerships can benefit
public land management and private enterprise.
- I focus on practical applications for tourism
as a tool to
improve quality of life through economic gain and conservation. In
particular I am interested
in agricultural diversification ie agritourism, ecotourism, nature
tourism, wildlife & nature photography, hunting, fishing & adventure operations.
- As a
specialist in Nature
Tourism for Texas AgriLIFE Extension I work to serve citizens of
Texas through educational presentations, training workshops,
publications and support of Texas Cooperative Extension county agents in each of our 254
Counties. I also work to assist in the development & implementation
of national and international programs.
I am available to conduct presentations, lead educational programs and
tours, perform consulting & specialized training.
