My Life in 400 Words or Less

I was born and raised in the small town of Fennimore, WI.  My parents, Jack and Karen, were outstanding baby raisers for both myself, and my two sisters (Vicki & Julie).  I learned the joys of small town life, made some great friends, went to H.S, met some girls I liked and played varsity football, basketball and golf.  I was certain that I would one day be a professional golfer.  I went to college, studied Recreation Administration, made more friends, became a Parrot Head, liked different girls, watched a lot of Dave, played varsity golf, and completed an internship. I was pretty sure I would someday be a professional golfer.  I graduated as a scholar athlete worked as a Youth Coordinator on a cruise ship, fell in love with the sea, escorted Miss Universe, and made some more new friends, and was still dreaming about becoming a professional golfer.  I went to a different cruise line, taught golf, made more friends, traveled the world, played St. Andrews, and met more girls that I liked.  The cruise line realized that people would do my job without getting paid, so I went back to the other cruise line.  I received promotions to Host, Senior Host, Assistant Cruise Director and Acting Cruise Director, played volleyball with AVP stars, made some more friends, met some more girls, and fell head over heels in love with my future (now current) wife.  We eloped in Alaska, I left ships (after 6 years at sea),lost the greatest mother in the entire world, obtained a Masters degree in Recreation Management, a Ph.D. in Tourism Marketing, made some more friends, and remained madly in love with my wife (Princess).  We bought a house, moved to College Station, Texas, took positions with Texas A&M University, adopted a cat and a dog, named them after Caddyshack characters, produced the most perfect human being imaginable, our "Little Princess" Madison,  managed to somehow create another perfect human being, our "Littlest Princess" Marley, and are still undeniably in love.  I currently research tourist behavior, teach tourism, run marathons and triathlons, enjoy playing golf, and basketball, love being a daddy, and am dreaming of someday joining the Senior tour (or completing an Iron-Man).
