A collection of videotaped interviews with distinguished administrators and educators who have made outstanding contributions to the field of parks and recreation.

The Legends of Parks and Recreation Program
The Legends Program consists of videotaped interviews of distinguished administrators and educators who have made outstanding contributions to the field of Parks and Recreation. The interviews record their personal background, professional insights, advice and philosophical beliefs. Each Legends interview is approximately 30-45 minutes in length.

The American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration
The Academy was formed in 1980 to advance knowledge related to the administration of parks and recreation and to encourage scholarly efforts by practitioners and educators. the Academy supports research and sponsors seminars for the advancement of park and recreation administration.

Viewing and Purchase of Legend Videotapes
Legend videotapes may be borrowed or purchased from the Academy Videotape Library. Tapes are also available for viewing at the Joseph Lee Memorial Library at the headquarters of the National Recreation and Park Association in Virginia.
